Computers: Thursday and Friday

Hi Everyone,


Here's what I would like you to do today and tomorrow. We'll go back to the room for reading period because... IT IS GOOD FOR YOU.


1. Create an Evernote account. Watch the video for further understanding. Use your board email preferably. See me if you want to use another email.


2. Once you have a username and password, remember them, or write them down in a word document and keep in your school folder. I bet one of you will forget your username and you can't create a new account with the same email address. Prove me wrong. Find a way to track your usernames and passwords.


3. Create a notebook for English (and your other classes if you so desire)


4. Make a note that has the PLOT GRAPH in it. Use a chart. Make sure you know what the 6 terms of a PLOT GRAPH mean.


5. Next make a new note that supplies the link to this blog.


6. Make another note and put in the link to the Google Presentation called "Celebrate the Short Story"


7. Comment on this post by introducing yourself using your first name and initial and telling me how the above process went. Do you think this could be useful to you? Do you prefer this or using other methods for learning? Have you ever used online tools for GATHERING, ORGANIZING and PRESENTING information?


8. You'll be looking at DELICIOUS, PREZI, and DROPBOX later.


9. Extension. Find a great story or short film that would be good for us to possibly look at in class.
