The Power of Social Media
The Power of Social Media Opinion Piece: In a well written 4 paragraph essay argue for the power of social media PERSONALLY and SOCIALLY. paragraph 1- INTRODUCTION paragraph 2- PERSONALLY paragraph3- SOCIALLY paragraph 4- CONCLUSION
social media has power both personally, and socially. Some examples of its power are facebook, twitter, youtube.
Social media affects me personally because almost everyday I log into facebook and see what everybody is up to, and I look up videos on youtube. These days almost everything is going viral so what ever you could possibly want to look up you can find on the internet. This helps with homework most of the time as well.
Social media affects the world socially because most things on the web go around very quickly from person to person because everybody is sharing links on facebook, and talking about things on twitter. One example of something that has gone viral very quickly and been shared through the social world on the web would be the kony 2012 video. This video has been viewed over 4 million times in less than four days.
So in conclusion, social media is just about everywhere in the world today! There’s a fairly good chance that social media has affected you today.
I definitely think social media is extremely important to many people socially and personally. It allows people to communicate and learn.
Personally, I use Face book and Twitter and I also watch TV witch is a good example of social media because you can watch all types of media the go on face book twitter and share about what you heard or seen. With happens all the time when people see something crazy on TV its all over twitter. Even Kony 2012 I heard about on twitter and was able to watch the video on my cell phone. So personally I think it’s very powerful.
Socially, its extremely powerful no doubt about it, the fact someone can Skype and see each other no matter where they are like if a child goes off to a different country the guy/girl has a family. The parents can still see the son or daughter and there family without sending a letter witch can take weeks to come back so technology Computers, Cell Phones, face book and twitter all allow people to learn and stay in contact.
In conclusion I really think Social and personal media is extremely powerful and can spread like wild fire! It’s a place where someone can go learn, communicate and view people’s things.
The power of Social media can do a few different things to a lot of different people, but to me it means; what’s happening in the world, with my friends, or; can even involve online gossip.
Personally I use social media for talking to my friends, keeping in touch with my family. I normally only text with my phone, call with my landline or send emails to communicate with others. Facebook however I see as over rated. To me it causes too many problems and contains too much gossip and sometimes makes a hassle over things that don’t matter. Although it is useful and lets us connect with people all over the planet, I just don’t see a purpose for it. I would prefer to stick with my smaller social media sources, like my cell phone, email, and landline.
Socially however, facebook, my space, MSN and twitter, has made a MASSIVE impact on the world. People can use these online sites, let us share pictures, statuses, have conversations, be used for business, and even used to find different locations, the world of facebook actually has a larger population than the United States! Facebook can also be used to keep up with the latest news, celebrity statuses, updates for TV shows, and what’s new in people’s lives.
Although there can be a bunch of different opinions of social media, most old people don’t understand it, and teens and adults ranging from age 10 – 50 or higher (more or less) use social media all the time. Social media is very powerful and has a big influence on the world, almost any time and anywhere.
Social media is important in today’s society, especially for teenagers. We don’t always realize we are learning but we take in information almost every time we go on the internet. We also learn much more from social media then we can from books and lectures.
Personally I use social media every day. I use Facebook a lot but I also have Tumblr and Twitter where I follow some very interesting subjects. People around the world use these services to post information for free which anyone can read and benefit from. I have learned a lot from social media in the past year, for example: things from Kony 2012, Anonymous hackers, to funny viral videos, and doomsday predictions. Social media has been a great tool for me, because I can easily search for stuff I want, and see what others are talking about.
Social media is very important socially because we can interact with others on important topics and we can share personal opinions with friends and strangers around the world. Unlike a book we can’t question it and ask reasoning, but with social media, we can easily ask a community for personal opinions and facts on the subject, and it is much easier to talk to and discuss the article with the author.
In conclusion I feel social media is one of the strongest learning tools we have today, and it is an infinite resource for information and articles. I feel as though everybody can benefit from using sources such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.
The power of social media is so strong. Everyone seems to have some sort of device that they can find things out about things with just the touch of a couple buttons, they can chat with friends instantly weather its face book, twitter, text message, msn, bbm, instant messaging. There is so much to learn from out of being social in the world.
